Sir, A report in the Tenby Observer July 20, 2018, states Pembrokeshire County Council wil be advertising for a new head of service with a potential top salary of £91,000.

The post, head of economic development and regeneration, will ensure the improvement and large investments are made around the county.

This pereson will translate the couoncil’s ambitious plans for improving the local economy and delivering key strategic sites into deliverable projects with a focus on strong financial managemenmt and outcomes.

What does this mean?

The county has already developed tourism and house building and hosts two large sporting events a year.

The potential salary is eye-watering and a slur on those of us who through good management afford the 12.5 per cent increase in council tax, but hey as from autumn next year, each household will be able to have three black bags collected every three weeks.
