Humble apologies are due this week to new Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Aaron Carey, and his family. Last week's headline, following his installation, said that in becoming Mayor, he was following in the footsteps of his father. In fact, as the report stated, it was his late grandfather, George Relleen, who had been a member of the town council, not his father. The article also stated that he has two children, Josh and Alice, whereas he has three, the other being Connor. As a side note, in another article about tree vandalism at the East End enhancement scheme, it was stated that Clr. Daphne Bush is a town and county councillor. She is, in fact, only on the county council, although she does often attend town council meetings.
