Popular event on Pembrokeshire’s summer calendar - Narberth Carnival will take place tomorrow (Saturday) - the culmination of the town’s annual Civic Week festivities.
Anything goes with regards to fancy dress, as there is no set theme required, so use your imagination!
A?reminder that the town will be closed to all traffic from 1.55 to 3 pm for the annual carnival parade.
Please follow road diversion signs, movement of cars will not be allowed if within the road closure zone by law.
Station Road will be closed to all traffic other than Carnival floats from 1 to 3 pm.
Please note: Carnival entrants have free entry onto the Rugby Club field however all accompanying parents will be required to pay the Entry Fee. (Please have the correct change ready in order to prevent delays at the Gate).
“A lot of work goes into holding the events throughout the week and for the splendid Carnival on the Saturday. All we need is the weather to top it off!” said Narberth Mayor and chair of Civic Week, Clr. Chris Walters.
Other activities on the day as part of the carnival festivities in the town include -
• Landsker Quilters Exhibition/Bethesda Chapel;
• Street Fair/High Street;
• Malthouse Vets Funday and Pooch Parade | Starting at Malthouse Vets. (Malthouse Vets Funday includes Pooch Parade preparations, please see advert for more details)
• Fun on the field at Narberth Rugby Field (immediatelyafter Carnival Parade), with games/activties, pony and horse rides, and live music at Narberth Rugby Club
• Fire Walking at The Dingle.
