Amroth community dippers entered the brinny on New Year’s Day celebrating 37 years of the event.

This year, some 60 dippers entred the beach from the castle slipway, which proved to be a safe entry for both the entrants, and onlookers.

The hundreds of onlookers were able to access the beach for safe viewing and interact with dippers.

It has now been decided the community New Year’s Day dippers will make this popular venue their home for future swims, which had the local businesses bustling through out the day, with festive revellers celebrating the turn of the year.

For those wishing to support the local branch of Cancer Research UK in memory of Ann Kingston, the chosen fancy dress theme was penguins.
