Pupils at Monkton Priory Community Primary School have been given a reason to smile thanks to a new dental health scheme.

The pupils have been taking part in the Welsh Government's 'Design a Smile' programme aimed at improving the dental health of children in Wales.

The mobile dental unit recently visited the school to teach pupils healthy dental habits.

Pupils were provided with toothbrushes and toothpaste, while nursery pupils were encouraged to adopt a daily teeth brushing routine.

Meanwhile, the mobile unit also applied a protective coating to pupils' teeth.
