Sir, At a time when the NHS is being criticised, I feel I must put pen to paper and say a ‘big thank you’ to all the services who responded so promptly recently when my 85-year-old uncle, who has special needs, fell at his home and sustained a head injury.

From the kind lady answering the 999 call, the ambulance crew who arrived so quickly, to the staff at A and E, Withybush Hospital, who gave such kind and caring attention to my uncle and me. We are so grateful.
