The Friends of South Pembrokeshire Hospital have helped the patients and staff in the Sunderland Ward to counteract the heat during this super spell of hot weather. They have purchased 10 special Dyson fans with the generous support from Vaughans of Haverfordwest. As you can see from the photograph, the fans are state of art as well as being extremely safe. In the photograph, one of the patients, Eileen Thomas, kindly agreed to pose with members of staff, Sister Leisa Bowen, and HCAs Cathy McDermott and Gemma Smith, plus one of the fans! Could we remind everyone that the Friends are still holding the Coffee Mornings/Table Tops in Pembroke Town Hall on the second Tuesday of every month from 10 am to 12.30 pm. There are plenty of stalls with a good array of crafts etc. plus refreshments and a raffle. All proceeds go to the charity to purchase more items for the hospital.
