A morning of mosses, magic mushrooms, lichens, cobwebs, orange peel fungi, and thousands of trees, for 12 Saundersfoot Strollers this week, when then walked along a five-mile route through the lovely Brechfa Forest Trails.
Starting from the forest car park in the sleepy village of Abergorlech, there is a signpost giving details of the different lengths of walks available through the forest, with trails also available for mountain bikes.
The area is so quiet and relaxing and the Strollers met no other walkers or cyclists during their visit.
The Strollers opting for the longest walk, actually did this same walk last winter in December, so it was nice to re-visit in the summer and see the seasonal changes, though the beauty of the area remains throughout the year.
On returning to the start, the group then made use of the picnic area facilities and enjoyed their packed lunch, before making their way home to Saundersfoot.
