A Saundersfoot man, accused of using threatening and abusive behaviour towards another person in the village, will face trial later this month, after denying the offence.

Seventy-year-old Peter Frank Bower, of The Strand, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday.

Defence solicitor Gareth Lewis told the court that the incident which occurred on March 13 stemmed from his client asking the complainant to pick up their dog foul.

The defendant, who was released on unconditional bail, will go on trial at the court on Friday, September 30.
