HM Coastguard is appealing for further information about a jet skier who radioed in on Sunday reporting that he was in Carmarthen Bay with engine problems
A Coastguard helicopter and three lifeboats from Tenby, Burry Port and Mumbles all conducted a search of Carmarthen Bay from 4 pm on Sunday but after finding no sign of the missing jet skier, the search was suspended pending further information.
HM Coastguard have stated that if you are the missing jet skier or have information about who they could be, please call them on 01646 690909.
Tenby’s all-weather lifeboat joined in with the search after returning from a previous shout that afternoon.
The lifeboat was diverted over towards the Gower, 16 miles east of Tenby, after a radio transmission was heard from a vessel reporting they were broken down and taking on water.
Mumbles’ all-weather lifeboat, Burry Port inshore lifeboat and Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187 were also tasked.
With all assets spending several hours in a search both by sea and by air which covered the majority of Carmarthen Bay and with nothing found and nobody reported missing, the search was stood down.
The Tenby lifeboat then returned to station, arriving just after 8 pm.
