Tenby’s ILB Georgina Taylor was requested to launch at 00.25 am on Wednesday after a report that two people were cut off by the incoming tide on the resort’s South Beach.
The lifeboat was on scene within minutes, with the volunteer crew searching rocks below The Esplanade.
Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team soon arrived on scene and found that the pair had managed to make it safely up to The Esplanade and were now back at their hotel.
The volunteer crew stood and rehoused the boat.
Swimmer in difficulty in sea
Emergency services received a report that a swimmer was in difficulty at Tenby’s North Bay shortly after 10.30 am on Tuesday.
As the RNLI inshore lifeboat was about to launch, a further report confirmed that the swimmer had been pulled from the water by a passing vessel and was now safe and well.
The volunteer crew stood down and rehoused the boat.
