A female motorist from Saundersfoot involved in a car crash, has admitted a drink-driving charge in court.
Twenty-five-year-old Kerry Louise McReynolds, of Westfield Court, pleaded guilty to driving her Peugeot 308, on the B4316 road, after exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol.
The court heard that Miss McReynolds gave a reading of 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court that the defendant had a crash where her vehicle was turned upside down and ended up on its roof.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton said that his client had said that she hadn’t had that much to drink, two-and-a-half cups of wine over a two-hour period, and thought that she would be ok to drive.
“She doesn’t remember a great deal about the crash, and was in shock, and drunk more afterwards.
“Miss McReynolds is a single mother who was working as a chef, so the loss of her driving licence will severely impact on her,” added Mr. Layton.
Magistrates fined Ms McReynolds £120 and disqualified her from driving for 14 months. She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
