At 5.30 pm Tenby Coastguard Rescue team along with Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police and Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust paramedics were tasked to the seaside town’s harbour area.
Upon arrival, Coastguard officers located the initial casualty who was in the care of RNLI lifeguards and receiving treatment after being brought to shore by a local fisherman.
Coastguard officers proceeded to give first aid care to some local children who had entered the water to assist the initial casualty.
They were joined by a member of Tenby and Saundersfoot Community First Responders who assisted with triaging of the children.
All children were assessed and then transferred into the care of parents.
