A police search in the Wiseman’s Bridge area for a man said to be carrying a knife came to end on Thursday afternoon, after officers confirmed that they were questioing a man in connection with the allegation.

Dyfed-Powys Police officers had been tasked with searching and patrolling the area following reports of a man in possession of a knife on Wednesday (August 8).

“We can confirm the police activity in the Wisemans Bridge area has now come to an end,” said a police spokesperson on Thursday.

“Officers have located a knife, and a man will be questioned in connection with the incident in another force area.

“We would like to thank the public for their assistance and patience as searches were carried out,” they added.
