A Llanteg man accused of drink-driving will go on trial in the New Year after denying the charge.

Sixty-nine-year-old Roy Powis, of Old Amroth Road, charged with driving on Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty, after exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol, will now appear in court for a trial on January 7, after his solicitor indicated to magistrates at Haverfordwest Court on Tuesday, that he was entering a not guilty plea to the charge.

Mr. Powis who was not present at the hearing, is accused of driving his Volvo on November 8, with a reading of 113 microgrammes of alcohol in 1oo millilitres of breath.
