The Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit is investigating a fatal road accident near Pembroke on Saturday afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 3.30 pm near Gilead Methodist Chapel, Maiden Wells, when a blue Volkswagen Polo and a 76-year-old female pedestrian were involved in a collision.

Sadly, the female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

The road was closed for approximately six hours.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any information, to contact PC407 Muckle by calling 101.
