Life in Narberth Town Centre was briefly disturbed when a fire engulfed the Queens Hall today (Thursday March 19).

Firefighters from Whitland, Narberth and Haverfordwest were called to the scene at 10:56am where they attended a property that is used as an entertainment centre and café, in High Street.

The fire was located in the ground floor kitchen, of the three-floor building, and had spread to a flat roof.

Police officers were also in attendance as they closed the road.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a covering jet and three thermal imaging cameras.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was also used to ventilate the property.

All persons were accounted for with no injuries reported.

High Street reopened at 11:58 with the emergency services leaving the scene at 12:11.
