Tenby Coastguards along with the St Govan team were tasked on Tuesday to tend to reports of an injured walker, lost on the coastal path near Manorbier.

The teams were soon on scene and searched the areas along the coastal path and the walker was found in dense bracken.

Due to the nature of the injuries and the terrain where the casualty had been located, Coastguard rescue helicopter 187 was requested to attend and once on the scene, winched the casualty from the location to a local helicopter landing site, where they transferred care to Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust paramedics.

The casualty was then transported to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
