Tenby coastguard rescue team along with HM Coastguard St Govans and Tenby RNLI’s inshore lifeboat were paged to a report of three persons cut off by the tide in the vicinity of Ragwen point on Thursday evening, shortly after 6 pm.

Tenby ILB managed to locate the casualties and provided safety cover whilst teams attempted to reach the casualties from the cliff top.

Due to the thick undergrowth and on scene conditions Coastguard Rescue helicopter 187 was requested to assist with the rescue.

Once on scene, the helicopter airlifted the casualties from their position on the cliff top and then landed at a helicopter landing site nearby which had been arranged by the coastguard officers.

Casualties were checked over and found to be well and assisted back to their vehicle.
