A young boy sustained serious injuries in Pembroke Dock last Friday after being ‘knocked off his scooter by a car’ and ‘trapped under the car until emergency services arrived’ - according to Gemma Phillips who has set up a crowdfunder on JustGiving.com to support him and his family.
Ten-year-old Leo sustained serious injuries, including broken ribs, broken leg, punctured lung and bruised intestines. He was conveyed to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by Air Ambulance, where he remains in a stable condition.
“He is lucky to be alive,” said Gemma, adding: “Leo and family are very grateful for all the help they have had.
Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit is investigating the incident which involved a white Skoda car.
The collision occurred on Bush Street, Pembroke Dock on Friday, October 7 at approximately 6.50pm.
