On June 1, Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Peter Kraus paid a visit to Aspley House, Pembroke Dock, to wish Flo Cooper a very happy 101st birthday.
Florence May Cooper was born on June 1, 1911, in Birmingham. She moved to Shrewsbury during the war and ran a guest house for the military and also looked after her two young children on her own. After the war, she was domestic superintendant for the Shropshire Hospitals.
She was married to David Reg Cooper who died in 1980. She came to Pembrokeshire 25 years ago to help her daughter run a hotel in Tenby.
